Zultys Technologies designs and manufactures products that integrate telecommunications and data communications for enterprise networks. The company recently released a Linux-based VoIP platform for SMBs and corporate branch offices. The MX250 is a single box that makes it easy for SMBs and branch offices to provide voice, data, fax, and video communications for their employees. The MX250 is 100% based on open standards and easily integrates with existing networks.
Competing systems that serve small businesses typically reduce the feature set of their enterprise offering so as to be economically feasible for SMBs. Zultys' MX250 includes all the features of Zultys' higher-end system, the MX1200, as well as additional features that meet the specific needs of SMBs.
By using Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), the MX250 can connect with other manufacturers' boxes, a multitude of phones (hard and soft), and other devices. Other standards supported include TAPI, which allows calls to be made with Outlook and other popular CRM products, and VoiceXML. The embedded, real-time Linux operating system ensures that the MX250 is a highly stable and robust product.
For sensitive applications, the MX250 offers advanced security features such as encryption, and fax termination. The encryption uses open standards with 128 bit AES and Diffie-Hellman key exchange, and allows for secure communications within the enterprise and between offices. Fax termination means faxes are routed directly to the recipient without the need for an external fax machine.
User features include presence, chat, instant messaging, and advanced call handling rules that are available through a single GUI interface. Operators use the same interface to monitor the presence of staff, allowing each call to be directed to an appropriate and available person. This feature dramatically boosts productivity and provides swift and professional handling of all incoming calls.
The MX250 comes equipped with all the hardware necessary to support five to 250 users. User and feature upgrades are made through simple software licenses. This ensures productivity is maintained and does not require additional investments in hardware.
