Remember when I reviewed Crossover Games (cxgames) back in April? If you have been pining for your very own license ever since -- today is your lucky day.

The folks over at CodeWeavers are giving away their products today. No strings attached. Free. Well, free as in beer, and partially free as in speech. If you recall, CodeWeavers uses the Wine project to allow Windows programs to function under a Linux environment. They are the largest contributor to the open source Wine project, and today, they're contributing their commercial product to YOU.

Go there now! It's today only, October 28th, 2008. I'm not sure what timezone they're based in, so be sure to go as quickly as you can!

UPDATE: Justin Ryan let me know Codeweavers is in the Central timezone. The deal ends at 23:59 CST. Go now!!!

Got mine already.

Yup yup, got it. Though I found out due to the wine mailing list - thank goodness I read it that day. Just the ticket...

Though I still wonder how well it will run any of the Visual Studio Express IDEs? Who knows.

If last month's Infrastrucuture issue was too "big" for you then try on this month's Embedded issue. Find out how to use Player for programming mobile robots, build a humidity controller for your root cellar, find out how to reduce the boot time of your embedded system, and if you're new to embedded systems find out the basics that go into one. You can also read about the Beagle Board, the Mesh Potato and a spate of other interestingly named items. And along with our regular columns don't miss our new monthly column: Economy Size Geek.
