I find it low that linux-freaks preach about the greatness of games like frozen bubble and many other, which are just lame copies of real original ideas. Let's try to be original.

It's fun. It's free. It's not like the original is available for Linux users to enjoy.

Princess Penelope

On March 2nd, 2009 waparmley says:

OK, so I introduced my wife to Frozen Bubble as a way to encourage her to boot into the Ubuntu partition occasionally. For a while she was so hooked on the game that I started accusing her of acting like Penny on the Big Bang Theory episode ("The Barbarian Sublimation") where Penny gets addicted to gaming and assumes the on-line persona of "Princess Penelope".

Currently my favorite Linux game is Maelstrom, but I agree that Frozen Bubble is a great game, and hard to quit once you start moving through the levels.

I still miss the Spacewar game that we played on the SDS Sigma Seven at the MSU Cyclotron Lab!

If last month's Infrastrucuture issue was too "big" for you then try on this month's Embedded issue. Find out how to use Player for programming mobile robots, build a humidity controller for your root cellar, find out how to reduce the boot time of your embedded system, and if you're new to embedded systems find out the basics that go into one. You can also read about the Beagle Board, the Mesh Potato and a spate of other interestingly named items. And along with our regular columns don't miss our new monthly column: Economy Size Geek.
