Mark Doran is an Intel Fellow and the chief platform software architect within the System Software Division for the Software and Services Group at Intel Corporation. As lead architect for the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) program, Doran develops industry standards-based firmware for Intel architecture systems. Doran also serves as president of the UEFI Forum, a world-class non-profit industry standards body that works through industry collaboration to enable the evolution of platform technologies and to advocate a standardized interface that simplifies and secures platform initialization and firmware bootstrap operations.
