Does Nicholas get a share of db4object's revenue?

I was confused about the purpose of this article: from the title I expected a discussion of problems and solutions around ORM, but as I read it looked more like a sales pitch for db4o. (Not a very good sales pitch, either, as I wouldn't think one would want to associate a sensitive political topic like Vietnam with their product).

However, searching on LJ's site I found another db4o article by Nicholas in February -- 4 months ago. At least that one had a more transparent title.

So why is LJ pushing somebody's database product so hard?
