If last month's Infrastrucuture issue was too "big" for you then try on this month's Embedded issue. Find out how to use Player for programming mobile robots, build a humidity controller for your root cellar, find out how to reduce the boot time of your embedded system, and if you're new to embedded systems find out the basics that go into one. You can also read about the Beagle Board, the Mesh Potato and a spate of other interestingly named items. And along with our regular columns don't miss our new monthly column: Economy Size Geek.

SSHfs doesn't work work right with gnome when UIDS are different
On May 21st, 2006 dmbtech says:
Hello, I have recently been able to get sshfs working, and its been working fine on shells and everything, but when using gnome, with nautilus and whatever, it won't work. It doesn't work I believe because the UIDs are diferent on the local computer as they are on the host computer. How does one fix this so they can use the mounted system in gnome with complete write/read access?
Also, gnomelib programs don't work because df -h doesn't work with sshfs, so therefore it refuses to copy anything to the remote system.
