Linux Evangelist to Head International Relations for Linux Journal

SEATTLE, WA -- Specialized Systems Consultants, Inc. (SSC), publisher of the award-winning monthly magazine Linux Journal, is pleased to announce that James Gray will be joining the staff as a market analyst and will head international efforts for Linux Journal magazine, now in its seventh year.

Gray was previously Director of Sales at No Starch Press, where he established their international distribution network and Linux Journal Press, a line of trade books on Open Source topics. Gray also founded and managed SuSE Inc., the US subsidiary of SuSE AG of Germany. While at SuSE Gray initiated strategic alliances with Oracle, Informix, VA Linux, Applix, Software AG and others.

Before SuSE, Gray held various positions in international sales and marketing with Walnut Creek CDROM (the main distributor of FreeBSD), and Frank Kasper & Associates, the world's largest specialty distributor of Linux books and software.

With more than five years experience using Linux and other UNIX systems, Gray prides himself as a behind-the-scenes Linux evangelist. Gray holds a B.A. in Political Science and German from Cornell University.
