Linux Journal Erroneously Announced Win at LinuxWorld Show Favorite Award

SEATTLE, WA -- During the recent LinuxWorld Conference & Expo held in New York's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, the Linux Journal staff experienced a serious miscommunication and made an erroneous announcement. Linux Journal did not win the Best Publication award as previously announced. We should like to correct this mistake, and offer sincere apologies.

Best Publication was not a category in the popular Show Favorites Awards program of LinuxWorld Conference & Expo, owned and produced by IDG World Expo. We also reported the winners were chosen by show attendees. The winners, however, were selected by a panel of industry experts who recognized product and service innovation and solutions in open computing being offered by exhibitors.

We appreciate the community's continued support of Linux Journal.
