Accessibility to people with disabilities is an important issue in web and software development, and the folks at Knowbility, Inc. would like your input about how to better educate people about accessible technology.

For many years, JavaScript had a bad reputation among developers. Sure, we would use it when we needed to do something dynamic in the browser, but we also would avoid it as much as possible. As I (and others) have written numerous times in the past year, however, JavaScript is going through a multidimensional renaissance.

Opera Software's Opera Dragonfly is a new suite of open-source debugging tools for Web developers and designers that got its name because "it eats bugs". The suite covers the full debugging work flow, from inspecting network access and downloaded resources to correcting JavaScript issues and seeing how CSS rules apply to the DOM.

Many of you know what a huge Drupal fan I am, and while I am a bit heartbroken that I will not attend the upcoming DrupalCon London, happening August 22-26 in Croydon, I'd like to give the rest of you the skinny on DrupalCon so you can all go have fun without me.  To that end, I got a few tidbits from Robert Castelo, one of DrupalCon's organizers.

The long-awaited new version of the popular web content management system and platform was released today. It represents the hard work of almost 1000 developers (by Greg Knaddison's count) and countless other Drupal community members contributing their time and effort to testing and providing feedback.
