by Rebecca Cassity

The awards will recognize this year's outstanding products in the fourth annual Editors' Choice Awards. Winners will be announced November 8, 2001, at the USENIX Annual Linux Showcase and will also be featured in Linux Journal's December 2001 issue.

"Editors' Choice Awards provide us with a venue to reward those products that are truly outstanding," said editor in chief Richard Vernon. "This year we've selected a broad range of categories to best represent all sectors of the community. With the number of new products and announcements we've seen over the course of this year, we know we've got a big job ahead of us but are excited to get the judging underway."

Submissions must be received by October 1, 2001. Vendors may nominate their products by visiting http://www.linuxjournal.com/edchoice/ and following a simple set of instructions.
