you have relieved me off a major headache. Is there a way to set OpenOffice so that links are broken by default or automatically?

While I much appreciate that

While I much appreciate that an Ogg Theora copy of the video is offered, I'd prefer it if the site optimistically placed the Ogg Theora video in the HTML5 video tag as the default means of presenting the video, and only fell back to the Flash version if necessary. Is that the plan going forward?

When I have a plan, I will be

Downloaded the video about fixing broken images in OpenOffice.

I have had this happen to me once or twice: It's great to know how to solve and/or avoid it in the future. Keep up the good work, Shawn!

The best thing about this

The best thing about this tech tip was that it was inspired by a very real experience. I was having breakfast with Shawn, Bill and Kyle before my SCaLE presentation, and I pulled up my presentation on my netbook and had lost all my images. Oops! Luckily I had Shawn there to give me a live, on-the-spot tech tip. ;)

I looked for this option so many times! I just did not know what it was called. So much for my many hours of wasted time. On the more important side note, This is the best tech tip(personal application) that I have seen since last summer.

I was making business cards in OpenOffice yesterday with images and it kept asking me to update my links. I really didn't know what that was asking lol. Thank goodness I saw this before I tried to move my file to another computer.

Red Hat White Paper: Using an Open Source Framework to Catch the Bad Guy

Built-in forensics, incident response, and security with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6

Every security policy provides guidance and requirements for ensuring adequate protection of information and data, as well as high-level technical and administrative security requirements for a system in a given environment. Traditionally, providing security for a system focuses on the confidentiality of the information on it. However, protecting the data integrity and system and data availability is just as important. For example, when processing United States intelligence information, there are three attributes that require protection: confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
