What a bargain

Hi,

I haven't got the time to become a reader of this magazine because just after receiving my very first copy they decided "to go 100% digital", so I had to ask for a refund because I'm not even remotely interested in reading pdfs.

Moreover, for the subscription I paid $69.50, while for the refund I received $57.92, that's $11.58 for just one single magazine (August 2011): what a bargain!!!

Well, it's been 8 weeks and I

Well, it's been 8 weeks and I still haven't received my refund. The LJ folks are pretty slow -- or maybe they are having cash flow problems.

I think it is probably the

I think it is probably the latter. I'm willing to give people the benefit of the doubt on the customer service side, but you can't issue refunds if you don't have the money to do so.

LJ should have had the decency to say that their business model was not working and then liquidated the company. As it is, they have just given everyone the shaft.

Completely Disappointed in LJ

i had just renewed for 2 years when they forced everyone to the digital edition. I have yet to read any of the digital editions, although I have downloaded them all. I feel cheated and used by Shawn and company. I do not have and do not want a Kindle or iPad just to read a magazine. As a long time news stand purchaser and then subscriber, I feel that i have been cheated and given the shaft with no way to receive compensation for the breach of trust and contract that LJ and I had. It was an expensive mistake for me, but one i will not repeat with the characters who run this sleazy outfit.

How Long To Get A Refund?

I am still waiting for my refund after 3 months (date I sent the cancel email to 'subs' and to 'gm') and about 2 months after I got the curt post card saying we'll refund the balance due.

How long did you have to wait for your refund?

How many follow-up emails and voicemails did you have to send/leave?

Call customer service and

Call customer service and point this out to them. My rate is $20/year and when CS calculated my refund it wasn't even a multiple of $20/12. It was clearly wrong so CS manually entered a refund amount. We'll see if it goes through correctly!
