The AOLserver home page, which is hosted at SourceForge, is www.aolserver.com. From that page, you can download the latest versions of AOLserver (which are not necessarily compatible with OpenACS), read documentation and participate in e-mail lists.

For a Python version of the AOLserver API, take a look at pywx.idyll.org.

The heaviest open-source users of AOLserver are still members of the OpenACS community. You can participate (and search through) the community's forums at openacs.org/bboard.

Finally, Philip Greenspun's 1999 articles on AOLserver remain an excellent introduction to the technology. You can read the first of the four-part series at www.linuxworld.com/linuxworld/lw-1999-09/lw-09-aolserver_1.html.
