The Zope home page is at www.zope.org. There is a fair amount of documentation on this site, including some tutorials on the use of databases in general and ZSQL methods in particular. Python, the language in which most of Zope is written, is at www.python.org.

The psycopg adapter for Python and Zope is at initd.org. The installation instructions in this column are based in no small part on those posted at initd.org/pub/software/psycopg/FAQ. The PostgreSQL home page is at www.postgresql.org.

I recently was sent review copies of two New Riders books about Zope. The Zope Book by Latteier and Pelletier and Zope: Web Application Development and Content Management by Spicklemire, Friedly, Spicklemire and Brand. Anyone starting with Zope should read The Zope Book; it's the best overall introduction to the subject I've seen, with numerous examples. The latter book discusses different advanced Zope topics to varying degrees; while it's not enough to master any of them, it's a good introduction to items not covered in The Zope Book. In any event, I recommend both of these for people interested in learning more about Zope.
