One of the biggest frustrations most new LibreOffice (or OpenOffice.org) users have is the lack of templates and clip art. We've addressed this problem before, but with the recent surge of LibreOffice, it's important to know how to improve your powerful office suite!

LibreOffice offers both templates and extensions to add creativity and flair to your documents. Whether you're looking for a template to aid with your home budgeting spreadsheet or want some clip art to advertise your garage sale, the LibreOffice Web site holds plenty of options.

A quick click to http://templates.libreoffice.org or http://extensions.libreoffice.org will give you a huge list of available add-ons. You also will have the opportunity to add your own templates or extensions to the Web site so others can benefit from your creations! lot of exсlusive content I've either created myself or outsourced but it seems a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my permission. Do you know any ways to help reduce content from being stolen? I'ԁ

Use OpenOffice templates too

As the previous Rob stated, don't forget about the OpenOffice templates. There are thousands of them on the Internet. They all work perfectly with LibreOffice. In fact, I have templates dating back to Star Office days (the grandfather of OpenOffice and LibreOffice) which still works today.

The LibreOffice library this article links to has 106 templates. That's wonderful. It is good to have some variety.

But if you head over to http://templates.openoffice.org/ you will find nearly 10-times as many templates. 997 to be precise. That's quite a bit more variety.

The great thing is the OpenOffice templates should be compatible with LibreOffice as well.

Ditto for extensions. Far greater variety over at http://extensions.openoffice.org/
