I'm a big fan of sims games, The sims, The Sims 2, simcity etc. Will sims games run on Linux?

I read .. sims works on linux with wineX, an advantage wine version. but I didn't try it get

Having the same question/problem. I can get all of these forum posts saying IT WORKS. but I cant find out HOW TO actually accomplish that.

I am talking about Sims 1
