Send Doc Your Wishes
Jun 17, 2008 By Carlie Fairchild
Everyone's favorite Linux Journal Editor Doc Searls has been in the hospital suffering from pancreatitis with complications this last week. He'll be the first to tell you he'll be fine, but some well wishes never hurt anyone.
Please post comments below wishing Doc well -- oddly (or not, rather) Doc is sitting in his hospital bed with laptop in hand, so he'll certainly read any well wishes we post here.
And for some classic Doc to remember why we love this guy so much:

best wishes
hey Doc,
You let them know know who the real Doc is, OK?
Take care, and wish you well.
Blessings and Light,

Get well soon
Best wishes for a fast recovery. Doc. Your good writings are missed.
Is there health care up there?
Just read this and felt a bit worried because, as I remember, there is not really any health care available in the U.S. anymore. Hope you get better soon but if you decide not to, feel free to come to Nicaragua to be sick. We have free health care and my aunt seems to be fine after her pancreatitis problems so I guess they know what they are doing here.
The bad news is that I don't think we have WiFi in the hospital yet. :-)

Feel better!
We'll all be anxiously awaiting your full recovery. If you feel like writing a blog post while under the influence of something really groovy, I wouldn't be opposed to reading it... just sayin' ;)

Hang in there, Doc
Doc,
Been thinking about you a lot these last few days. I appreciate your tweets and blog updates, though I can't imagine how you manage that. I know you'll get through this, 'cuz the suits still need a lot of Linux training!
Many thanks for all the help over the years!

Next deadline is July 9th
Well Doc, you came up with quite an excuse for missing the deadline this month--but really, it's a bit much. Your lame, "dropped my laptop in the mud" excuses have worked just fine in the past, and I expect to go back to those next month :) Get better soon!

Feel better soon, Doc...
Feel better soon, Doc... enjoy the morphine while you can get it ;)

Get Well Soon!
I'm sorry to hear that you're not well, Doc. I hope this passes quickly and you're back on your feet soon!
Better Places
It sounds like you have a private room, private bath, a constant stream of people attending to your needs, along with wifi. Let me assure you, there are other establishments that poke fewer needles in you and supply the same frills. And it's probably cheaper too. :)
Heal quickly so you can get to a coffee shop soon.
