linux.conf.au calls.for.papers

The annual linux.conf.au — Australia's Linux conference supreme — is already off to a good start for 2009, just months after the 2008 event and before the memories have had time to fade.

This year's 10th anniversary event, held in Melbourne, boasted an exciting lineup, and the 2009 crew is looking to make the next one even better. With that in mind, they've announced a call for papers for both the main and mini conferences. The mini.confs will be held January 19 and 20, with the main conference following from the 21st through 23rd. The organizers are expecting 20 presentations each day, with a total of 100 speakers between the mini and maxi versions.

The conference has boasted presentations from a variety of well known speakers in the past, and spots behind the podium are highly prized. Those interested in getting their talk on in Tasmania should visit the conference's proposal page.
