You know you're in trouble when the "Register" is a major source of information. You realize that rag is the online British equivalent of the National Enquirer, right?

LOL.

This is the theregister.co.uk, which takes the tabloid Register's cheeky attitude towards all things IT, but most of the news and rumors it reports are real ( as in real real, not National Enquirer real ).

I find it a refreshing change from the overly serious, and really boring sites based in the Confederated States of America. Sites which purport to report IT news in a bland objective manner but which in fact are just paid advertising by corporations.

Thank you. I have one question. Well, more but this one will do for now.

Percentage range of servers using Linux that Dell and HP expect to sell in 2002: 15-18

How does this compare to actual sales in 2001?

If last month's Infrastrucuture issue was too "big" for you then try on this month's Embedded issue. Find out how to use Player for programming mobile robots, build a humidity controller for your root cellar, find out how to reduce the boot time of your embedded system, and if you're new to embedded systems find out the basics that go into one. You can also read about the Beagle Board, the Mesh Potato and a spate of other interestingly named items. And along with our regular columns don't miss our new monthly column: Economy Size Geek.
