Linux Journal Promotes Don Marti to Editor in Chief

SEATTLE, WA -- SSC Publications, publisher of the award-winning monthly magazine Linux Journal, is pleased to announce the promotion of Don Marti to the position of Editor in Chief of Linux Journal. Marti will be responsible for directing the editorial content of the print magazine as well as the Linux Journal web site. He has served as Technical Editor of Linux Journal for over two years, and mor

Marti brings to this position a wealth of experience in technical consultancy, journalism, events, online forums and products, and most importantly, Linux. He has been an influential leader of the Linux community since the mid-1990's and is best known for his community activism. Additionally, Marti holds the position of Vice President of the Silicon Valley Linux Users Group, which currently boasts over 450 members, and has co-organized well-known events such as Windows Refund Day and a Free Dmitry rally.
