Cyclades Corporation announces the newest member of the TS family, the Cyclades-TS100. The Cyclades-TS100 is a single port device server designed for control and automation applications. It is the first product in its class to use Embedded Linux as an operating system.

"Cyclades is again establishing a precedent in the industry by being the first company to use Linux in the Device Server business", states Daniel Dalarossa, CEO and Co-Founder of Cyclades Corporation. He adds, "Cyclades-TS100 leverages Open Source software (Linux OS) to offer a high-level of flexibility and support for customizations and additional functionality incorporated by the end-user or system integrator. No other device server on the market can claim the same degree of functionality or the same technical specifications as the TS100."

The TS100 connects serial devices to the TCP/IP network and can be used in industrial automation, out-of-band network management, retail automation, or legacy devices to network integration. This product utilizes a powerful 32-bit Dual-RISC CPU running at 50MHz, supports 4 Mb of Flash Memory and 16 Mb (expandable to 32 Mb) of SDRAM. It also supports one Ethernet 10/100BT LAN connection and one RS-232/RS-485 for serial connection (software selectable).
