As author of monopd, I'd like to inform game fanatics there is also a client for KDE, named Atlantik.

To avoid possible copyright problems over the Monopoly game, the server/client architecture has been changed from a hardcoded Monopoly concept to a more generic estate trading boardgame one and a fresh, new gametype called Atlantic.

Atlantik 0.2.0 will be released soon, together with a new monopd version and will include a gameboard designer. Atlantik requires KDE 3.x technology, although a backport to KDE 2.x will be made if there is enough demand for it.
