The Open Source Reader

by Felipe Csaszar

As I gained perspective on the subject, I learned much from certain key articles, books and license agreements, all packed with insights about the nature and joy of programming. These readings also lay out the structure that makes open source possible.

To make the task of understanding open source easier for a group of CS students, I put these key readings together into an easy to read, print and distribute package (an 80-page PDF book), called The Open Source Reader. Now, I want to share this compilation with everyone and pay back a little to the Open Source community I enjoy so much. To download The Open Source Reader, go to www.csaszar.com/interesting.

The Open Source Reader is, of course, an open-source project. I will maintain the book for now, so feel free to contact me with suggestions or material to add to the next version of the book.
